Making EE code faster (guide/optimization.md)

  • Three parts: compiler settings (optimization level, unused code, LTO, PGO), measuring speed, and changing the code.
  • Benchmark figures and test details are gone. The code techniques (cache-set padding, loop order, buffer alignment, keeping fixed-count loops rolled) now show before and after code.
  • Both toolchains are covered evenly, for example the unroll pragma for both LLVM and GCC.

System quirks (new, guide/architecture/quirks.md, listed in the English architecture sidebar)

  • Floating point on the EE and the R5900 short-loop erratum, moved from the optimization guide.
  • Loading IOP modules from memory needs sbv_patch_enable_lmb().
  • Buffers shared with DMA or the IOP need 64-byte alignment.

guide/iop-drivers.md links to the new page. English only, both pages marked beta. vitepress build passes.

The optimization guide now covers compiler settings, measuring and code
changes, with before and after code instead of benchmark figures, and
treats both toolchains the same. Floating point on the EE, the short-loop
erratum, loading modules from memory and buffer alignment move to a new
System quirks page in the architecture section. English only.
